Wolves linked with forgotten Liverpool loanee

Wolverhampton Wanderers are being linked with a loan move for Arthur Melo. Remember him?

The Brazilian midfielder played just 13 minutes of football for Liverpool during his €4.5m season-long loan spell from Juventus last term. He spent most of the season out injured and the option to make the move permanent for €37.5m was politely turned down.

“I think I was a bit unlucky, but that is in the past and I feel much better than then,” he said at the end of his spell at Anfield. “I really want to play again and seek my highest level as a player.

“I went through difficult times, but it was very important for me to have the support of everyone, from the coach, Klopp, and the entire coaching staff, to my team-mates.

“The dressing room helped me a lot in a difficult moment.”

The 26-year-old is now debating whether to head to the Saudi Arabia Pro League or head to Molineux.
