Liverpool are said to be considering a potential January move for 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie, according to his agent.
“Liverpool were interested in him but at that time they chose to invest in the midfield,” said Manuel Sierra.
“For January they are talking like other clubs, it will not be less than €50m.”
With the midfield now suitably strengthened, the focus will be on the defence and a possible replacement for Joel Matip, whose contract expires next summer, will be a priority for Jurgen Klopp.
