Levi Colwill has spoken out about his future amid rumours linking him with a possible move to Liverpool.
The 20-year-old defender has been out of favour at Chelsea in recent seasons and, after a strong performance for England at the Under-21 Euros, interest in the player is growing among other clubs, including Liverpool.
“I’ll speak to my family, speak to everyone I need to and make a decision,” he told The Times. “I’ve got to play at the end of the day to hopefully get there [England senior team] and go to the next camp.”
Colwill is a lifelong Red and was once pictured in a Liverpool shirt when he was much younger.
“Growing up my idol was always Steven Gerrard,” he said in a recent interview. “I’d be watching him, he’s a great leader. I was just amazed by him,
“I used to have pictures of him in my room. I was always trying to copy him before I was playing. I just looked up to him, I even had the same boots.”
