As Liverpool prepare for Sunday’s Premier League clash with Nottingham Forest at Anfield, Jurgen Klopp talked to the press after Thursday night’s 5-1 win over Toulouse.
“Thursday and Sunday is not great but something we’ve known for long enough and that’s fine,” he said. “This rhythm is the rhythm we have this year. We should get used to it sooner rather than later and so far it was ok.
“But a Premier League season with European football and all the cup competitions is an intense season. We’ve never had a problem with that, it’s all fine, but you need a specific amount of recovery time. As long as we have that, we are ready.”
