Injury news ahead of Leicester clash

Jurgen Klopp has given a fitness update ahead of Monday night’s trip to Leicester City.

Roberto Firmino has missed the last five games because of a muscle injury, while Naby Keita has had an undisclosed injury since he was on international duty for Guinea in February.

“I saw Bobby in training yesterday and it looks like pretty much [he is] nearly there, but I don’t think he will be in for the weekend. If I go out of here and he will be in the session, I would be surprised. I assume that we start with him team training-wise after the Leicester game. And Naby, no.”

With Firmino having already announced his departure from the club at the end of the season, there will now only be two further opportunities to see him in a Liverpool shirt again.

The likelihood of Keita still being at the club for the start of next season is slim, too.
