It is being widely reported that Sheffield United have had a £25m offer for Rhian Brewster accepted by Liverpool.
This is yet to be confirmed, but would make sense for all concerned and will be interesting to see if there is a buy-back clause in the contract, as originally suggested.
Blades boss Chris Wilder added to the speculation on Monday by adding: “We are definitely looking to improve. We want to get one at the top of the pitch to give us that quality. We are trying. It is an important area of the pitch.”
The funds will help Jurgen Klopp in his pursuit of further transfers ahead of the window closing next month, with Thiago still top of his shopping list.
