Salah happy to be back on the scoresheet

Mohamed Salah hadn’t scored an outfield goal since February, but he silenced the critics with a brace to help Liverpool to a 4-0 home win over Manchester United in the Premier League and move them back up to pole position in the table.

“In midfield they make our life easier,” he said of United’s poor performance in the centre of the park after the game. “We have a clean sheet here and there. Once we get the first goal, we want the second and the third. It was a top performance by us and hopefully we continue.

“I score many goals for this club. Sometimes you have bad luck. The most important thing is the team winning. We just need to focus on ourselves and the rest is not in our hands.”
