There’s no denying the fact that Liverpool are in need of at least one more central midfielder. A few names have been bandied about in recent weeks, from Southampton’s Romeo Lavia to Fulham’s Joao Palhinha.
In the absence of developments on this front, the press have turned to other players who could possibly make the move to Anfield. Hence why Keito Nakamura’s name is being mentioned all over social media.
Foot Mercato claim that the Reds want to pay £6m for LASK’s 23-year-old Japanese winger, with a view to sending him back on loan to Austria.
Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa have also been linked with Nakamura, who scored 17 goals and got eight assists last season.
By all means get excited by the prospect of another new signing, but the priority is a new midfielder right now.
