Liverpool have reached an agreement with Brighton to sign Moises Caicedo for a British record £110m.
The Reds outbid Chelsea who had offered £100m and, although personal terms are yet to be agreed with the Ecuadorian international, it will be a relief to those fans who were accusing FSG of refusing to invest in the club.
With Fabinho and Jordan Henderson leaving in the summer, a defensive midfielder was highest priority for the Reds, and Caicedo fits the bill perfectly.
