Liverpool agree Lavia deal

Liverpool have agreed a deal worth £60m with Southampton for their defensive midfielder Romeo Lavia, but now need to agree personal terms with the player.

Having already missed out on signing Moises Caicedo after Chelsea swooped in over the weekend, the Reds have moved quickly to get their man this time.

Chelsea are also trying to sign Lavia and made a £55m bid for the Belgian last Friday and it is believed that the London club are Lavia’s first choice.

With Caicedo undergoing a medical before completing his move to Chelsea, we will see how committed they will be to signing a second defensive midfielder.
