Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was full of praise for his Liverpool team after beating Man City 3-2 in the FA Cup semi-final at Wembley.
“The quality of the opponenet in the second half showed how good they really are, so denying them in so many moments is so difficult and creating your own opportunities is obviously difficult aswell,” he said after the game.
“The first half was outstanding in pretty much all parts of the game I would say. But then the second half they scored an early goal and it opens up. No football player on the planet is safe against City with a 3-1 lead. It’s always clear what they can do. We needed Ali, what a game he played, but we had our moments aswell and could have decided the game earlier.
Winning 3-0 against City would feel kind of strange so 3-2 is a fair result and was still good enough to bring us to the final.”
