Liverpool have had a £26m offer for Andre rejected by Fluminense, according to ESPN.
The Brazilian club have also told the Reds that they will reject an increased offer for the 22-year-old midfielder if one is made.
Having already signed Wataru Endo last week, the urgency to bring in another new midfielder has slightly diminished, but it is likely that the club will instead focus their attention on Ryan Gravenberch, who is expected to part ways with Bayern Munich before transfer deadline day.
