Trent and Curtis urge fans to support foodbanks on derby day and beyond

Trent Alexander-Arnold and Curtis Jones are asking fans to support in whatever way they can ahead of this Saturday’s Merseyside derby against Everton at Anfield.

Whether you’re a Red or a Blue, show your support for the city and donate non-perishable food items at Flagpole Corner between the Kop and Sir Kenny Dalglish Stand ahead of the game.

Matchday donations are crucial to supporting foodbank hubs like the North Liverpool Foodbank and these hubs act as a community lifeline to those in need, so please do whatever you can to help this worthy cause.

The Flagpole Corner collection point is open three hours before kick-off and remains open for 15 minutes after kick-off. Food can be dropped off at the Anfield superstore during its opening hours and at Homebaked before kick-off.

Some of the key items on the foodbank’s priority list include:

Cereal
Soup
Beans/spaghetti
Tomatoes/pasta sauce
Vegetables
Instant mash
Dried pasta sauce
Tinned meat/fish/fruit
Rice pudding
Biscuits
Pasta
Rice
Noodles
Tea and coffee
Juice
Milk UHT
Jam
Chocolate/snacks
Toiletries
Cleaning products
Nappies
Feminine hygiene products

Fans can also donate by simply texting SACN to 70085 to donate £10 or by visiting the St Andrews Community Network website.
