Mohamed Salah is expected to remain at Liverpool for one more season.
“We know that trophies are what count and we will do everything possible to make that happen next season,” The Egyptian king posted on Xitter. “Our fans deserve it and we will fight like hell.”
Salah was the subject of a £150m bid from Al-Ittihad that was rejected last September, but the Saudi Pro League club are apparently prepared to wait until his contract expires next summer and sign him on a free transfer.
Whether or not the powers that be will allow that to happen, or if they will seek a sale this summer rather than let him leave on a free, remains to be seen. Bear in mind that these comments and reports could well be a move from the player’s agent intended to generate interest this summer.
