Thiago Alcantara looks increasingly likely to leave Liverpool at the end of the season.
The Spanish midfielder’s contract expires next summer and, with his time at Anfield blighted by injury, it makes sense to let him move on now that Jurgen Klopp has strengthened the midfield during the transfer window, with Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch being brought in.
Barcelona coach Xavi is keen to bolster his squad and has already earmarked Joshua Kimmich as a primary target, with Thiago and Real Betis’ Guido RodrÃguez also on the shopping list, according to ESPN.
A possible move to Turkey has been rumoured for some time now, but a return to his homeland would no doubt be welcome for Thiago, who started his career at the Nou Camp.
