Liverpool make £170m Mbappe bid?

Surely not!

According to those who like to make up transfer stories for a living, the Reds have approached Paris St Germain with a €200m bid for Kylian Mbappe.

The Echo are making this bold claim, while The Daily Mirror is opting for a lighter ‘loan move’ storyline, with chelsea also named as an interested club.

This is all happening because of the French striker’s dismissal of a proposed £259m bid from Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal and PSG’s determination to sell their star player before his contract runs out next year.

Real Madrid are his preferred club, but they appear to be holding out to get him on a free next summer. Whether or not these latest rumours are intended to get Florentino Perez to put his hand in his pocket we wait and see.

However, the chances of him becoming a Liverpool player remain extremely low. Doesn’t stop us dreaming, though.
