Manu Kone left the stadium on crutches after France’s 4-1 win over Switzerland at the under-21 European Championships on Wednesday night.
The 22-year-old Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder was forced to leave the field in the 19th minute after suffering a knock to the knee.
We are yet to discover the extent of the injury but it will come as a blow to Liverpool who have been waiting until after the tournament before conducting transfer negotiations.
