Gravenberch blow for Reds

Liverpool’s hopes of signing Ryan Gravenberch from Bayern Munich have been dealt a blow, after the 21-year-old Dutch midfielder’s latest comments about his future.

“I am assuming that I will still be at Bayern next season,” he told Dutch newspaper Algemeen Dagblad. “That is how I am really in it.

“I am at a top three club in the world. I think that’s beautiful and special. I am not giving up just like that. My goal is still to succeed at Bayern.”

Despite already signing Alexis Mac Allister earlier this month, Liverpool are still on the lookout for another midfielder, with Kephren Thuram still favourite to become the next new name at Anfield, while Gabri Veiga is also an option.
