Whatever happens tonight…

Jurgen Klopp is a Liverpool legend and always will be.

For many of you that’s a given, but our fanbase in these modern times has an element of followers whose opinions of the team are dictated by the result of the last game.

In the same way that Kanye West’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy manages to be named the 17th Greatest Album of All Time, the warped sense of importance over time is something we need to be aware of.

For the vocal minority who will no doubt be calling for ‘Klopp to go now’ if we don’t overcome the 3-0 first leg defecit at Atalanta tonight, here is a brief reminder of what we have achived since The Normal One arrived at Anfield on 8th October 2015…

Premier League 2019/20
Champions League – 2019
Club World Cup – 2019
Super Cup – 2019
FA Cup – 2022
League Cup – 2022, 2024
Community Shield – 2022

Jurgen Klopp’s legacy is not defined by the remaining nine games of his tenure, but by the nine years he has guided the ship.

You’ll Never Walk Alone, Jurgen.
