The folks over at Footy Headlines have teased pics of the proposed new Liverpool 21/22 third kit.
The yellow/red combination is a popular one since the pinstripe Umbro design debuted in 1981. Adidas, Reebok and Warrior have all adopted the yellow away kit in some form over the years, but this is Nike’s first attempt at bringing the traditional colours up to date.
Nike split opinion with the launch of next season’s home kit last month and this new kit is likely to cause another disagreement between those who love the chequerboard embellishment on the collar and cuffs, those who can’t stand the unnecessary details and those who don’t care as long as it’s got the liverbird upon the chest.
