Salah thanks his teammates as he picks up Player of the Year award

Mo Salah was his usual, humble self as he picked up the PFA Player of the Year award at the Grosvenor Hotel on Sunday night.

Liverpool’s Egyptian ‘king’ was voted the best player in the league by his peers and thanked his Liverpool teammates for contributing to his success this season.

“My personal ambition is to win something with the team. I always think about the team, I don’t think about myself,” he said in his acceptance speech.

“The most important thing is to win something with the team and we’re very close now with the semi-final. Hopefully we’re going to win.

“The team has helped me a lot because of the way we play. They pass me the ball a lot and always try to find me.”
