Salah, Mané and Keita shortlisted for African Player of the Year award

Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Naby Keita are among the 10 players shortlisted for the 2022 African Player of the Year award, the Confederation of African Football have announced.

All three helped the Reds to the FA Cup and League Cup, while narrowly missing out on the Premier League and Champions League.

Liverpool players have dominated the award in recent years. Salah won it in 2017 and 2018 and Mane in 2019, while the 2020 and 2021 awards were cancelled because of COVID.
