It’s no secret that Liverpool are looking to beat Tottenham to a £50m deal for Porto winger Luis Diaz.
However, it appears that Spurs have given up the chase and are switching their attention to Dejan Kulusevski, leaving the Reds free to sign the 25-year-old Colombian ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.
Diaz is currently with his national team for World Cup qualifying matches against Peru on Friday and Argentina on Tuesday, so the club are sending a delegation out to conduct a medical and secure the deal.
