Julian Nagelsmann’s agent has set tongues wagging with his latest statement.
Volker Struth has confirmed that the Germany boss has held talks about returning to Bayern Munich, but they are not the only club he has spoken to.
“It will be decided soon, in the next five, six or seven days,” he told the Spielmacher podcast. “It would be complete nonsense to say that we are not talking to interested parties.
“Without saying who the interested parties are, I can only say that it’s not just Bayern Munich.”
Whether or not there has been an approach by Liverpool as they seek to replace Jurgen Klopp this summer or not, we do not know.
More likely, Nagelsmann’s agent is trying to control the negotiations with Bayern in the hope of speeding up the discussions and getting a better deal.
Having said that, it would make total sense for Liverpool to be in talks with the 36-year-old at this stage, so let’s keep an eye on developments.
