Sadio Mane has completed his £35m move from Liverpool to Bayern Munich on a three-year contract with the German club.
The Reds will receive 32m euros with an additional 9m euros in add-ons.
“This is the right time for this challenge,” said the 27-year-old Senegalese forward.
“I felt the great interest of this big club from the start so there was no doubt in my mind.”
In an interview with the official Liverpool FC website, Mane said:
“It is really strange to no longer be a Liverpool player but I had an unbelievable time. I am going to be Liverpool’s number one fan forever.”
This is a sad day, but we wish Sadio the very best of luck at Bayern (apart from when Liverpool meet them in the Champions League). He has thoroughly earned his legend status at Anfield. At least we’ll still see him playing in red.
