Sadio Mané has gone from strength to strength since Jurgen Klopp signed him from Southampton for £34m in 2016. At the time many believed the Senegalese forward was grossly over-priced, but he has proved his critic wrong and is now a Ballon d’Or nominee.
But Mané is quick to praise the Liverpool manager for the support and faith he has shown the 27-year-old in his latest interview in LFC Magazine.
“Everybody can see what he has done for this club, for this city and the quality he has as a manager,” he said.
“There are a lot of good managers in Europe but what I can say is that our manager always has the right words and the right things to manage his team, especially knowing how to deal with his team.
“I would always trust his influence on the team. He is a winner and I would say he is the best in the world.”
