The international break is finally over and we get back to business with a trip to the Etihad to face Manchester City on Saturday afternoon (kick-off 12.30pm).
We’ve crunched the numbers ahead of what is expected to be a tough test between the top two clubs in the Premier League…
- Man City are aiming to beat Liverpool in consecutive league fixtures for the first time since a four-match sequence between 1935 and 1937.
- Liverpool’s only win in their past 14 Premier League games away to Man City was by 4-1 in November 2015 (D5, L8).
- The Reds’ most recent victory at the Etihad was 2-1 in a Champions League quarter-final second leg in April 2018.
- Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat at Tottenham in September is their only one in their last 23 Premier League games (W15, D7).
- Liverpool are without a win in their last three Premier League away matches and have failed to keep a clean sheet in seven away league games, conceding a total of 12 goals.
- If Mo Salah scores he will notch up 150 total Premier League goals, while a brace would make him the fifth player to score 200 goals for Liverpool in all competitions.
