Luis Diaz has touched down in the UK and headed to Liverpool’s training ground to be introduced to the press after his move from FC Porto.
“I’m very happy to be hear at this great team and this great club,” he said. “I’ve not been here very long but in the short time I’ve had with my new teammates I’ve shared a few words with some great players and real references at this club.
“I’m very proud to be meeting up with them and to now have the chance to play alongside them as a teammate, and share a dressing room with them is a great source of pride for me.”
It is unlikely Diaz will start for the Reds in their FA Cup clash with Cardiff on Sunday, but he may make his debut off the bench at some point during them game.
