Jurgen Klopp has spoken about the missed transfer signings over the summer, particularly Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia who chose Chelsea over Liverpool.
Caicedo has failed to justify his reported £100m price tag, while Lavia has been plagued with injuries since he joined the Blues in August.
“A few strange things happened in the transfer market but here, between us, I can say my God were we lucky,” said the Reds boss.
“We didn’t know it in that moment, to be honest, it didn’t feel like it in that moment but I’m really happy that it worked out like that!”
