Klopp realistic about top four chances

Another defeat for Liverpool and more places dropped in the Premier League.

Saturday’s 2-1 defeat by Leeds leaves the Reds struggling in ninth place in the table, a massive 13 points behind leaders Man City.

“I am at least not that dumb that I don’t know distances and I know who is up there, but you cannot qualify for the Champions League if you play as inconsistent as we do in the moment,” admitted Juergen Klopp.

“So, how I said, we have to fix that and we will see where we end up. We all know that everything is possible, or a lot of things are possible, but for that you have to win football games and we didn’t do that often enough yet.”

Failing to qualify for next season’s Champions League would be a major blow and will no doubt have a knock-on effect in the summer transfer window, with less money likely made available for signings and top targets wanting to be playing in Europe’s elite competition.

Jurgen needs to turn around Liverpool’s fortunes quickly.
