Klopp not concerned about lack of Champions League football when attracting players

Jurgen Klopp was asked to respond to suggestions that Liverpool may struggle to attract top players in the summer if they don’t qualify for the Champions League.

Here’s his reply…

“I think when you join a club you want to reach something together with the club and not surfing on the wave of something created before,” he told reporters. “It’s obvious we have to fight to be part of the Champions League and fight for trophies and these kind of things and if you want to be part of that you’re more than welcome.

“One thing we cannot guarantee this year is Champions League football but all the rest is the same like it was before. It’s a fantastic club with a really good football team and probably a better one next year.”
