Jurgen Klopp has been named the Premier League Manager of the Month after Liverpool’s three wins from three matches in January.
It is the 10th time the Reds boss has won the award and only Sir Alex Ferguson, Arsene Wenger and Pep Guardiola have won it more times in the history of the Premier League.
“We are Manager of the Month – great!” he said, in typical humble style.
“You know how influential all the guys around me are. I’m the face of all these kinds of things. I won a few over the years but I’m pretty sure all of my coaches got one to take it home.
“So we are Manager of the Month, we know that. If that happens – it’s pretty rare – but if that happens you know it’s a good month and a lot of good work behind. So, thank you, guys, again.”
