Klopp: It’s not our job to call it a title race

Another game, another three points for Liverpool as they maintain the pace atop the Premier League, three points behind Man City with a better goal difference and a head-to-head clash lined up for 10th April.

But, calm as ever, manager Jurgen Klopp refuses to be drawn into talk of a title race.

“It’s not our job to call it like that because City play on Monday and you expect them just to win the games and as long as we’re behind them we don’t really feel it,” he said after Liverpool’s 2-0 win at Brighton. “The only thing we really feel is that we want to win football games, as many as somehow possible, and I can see that in the boys’ faces and body language.

“This race doesn’t need a name for us, we just want to win as many football games as possible.”
