Klopp gives his view on the Coronation this weekend

Jurgen Klopp was asked about his opinion of the Coronation this weekend, as the country prepares to celebrate King Charles III.

Liverpool Football Club have decided to play ‘God Save The King’ ahead of their 5.30pm match with Brentford on Saturday, with players set to congregate around the centre circle, although it’s quite likely there will be boos around Anfield.

“This is not a subject that I have a proper opinion about,” said Klopp I’m from Germany and we don’t have a king or queen or these kind of things. I am 55 years old, I have really no experience of that. Watching from the outside, it’s a nice thing to watch when all the weddings are massive things in Germany. nobody really knows, it’s like watching a movie because we don’t feel that.

“I’m pretty sure a lot of people in this country will enjoy the Coronation, some will maybe not really be interested and some will not like it, that’s it. That’s all I can say about it and the rest is my position and the club’s position.
