Jurgen Klopp enjoyed Liverpool’s 1-1 draw with Man City on Sunday, but insists the Reds were denied a clear penalty in the 99th minute when a chest-high challenge by Jeremy Doku on Alexis Mac Allister wasn’t penalised.
“It was a really good football game. The best performance in the second half we’ve ever played against Manchester City,” said a high-spirited Klopp after the game. “I’m rally happy with the whole performance. What a game, what an atmosphere, what an afternoon.”
However, when asked about the penalty call, he insisted the ref got it wrong.
“It’s 100% foul and it’s a yellow card. For all football people on the planet, it’s a penalty,” he added.
