Jurgen Klopp’s decision to agree a two-year extension to his Liverpool contract, keeping the German manager at the club until 2026, came as a surprise on Thursday.
As you would expect, he was asked about this during the pre-Newcastle press conference.
“We are in a very positive mood as a family, the coaches as well,” he said.
“We want to help this club be as successful as possible for as long as possible, if not forever.”
