Jurgen Klopp faced the press ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester City at Anfield and was asked the obvious question –
“When you play against probably the best striker in the world we have to make sure he doesn’t get that many balls. That’s what we will try but against City if you close Haaland down with too many players then you open up gaps for all the other world-class players, that will not make life easier.
“He has the combination of being pretty really physical and technical and sensational awareness. He knows always where the offside traps are, reads it well. So many things to make a striker, and at City he has some of the best players around him in the world setting up goals. So that’s a perfect fit, no doubt about that.
