Keita withdraws from internationals

Naby Keita is the latest Liverpool player to withdraw from international duty because of injury.

The 27-year-old midfielder has pulled out of Guinea’s forthcoming friendlies against South Africa on March 25 and Zambia on March 29 with a knee injury.

He joins Trent Alexander-Arnold who has also withdrawn from England’s upcoming games with a hamstring injury.

It is a blessing in disguise for manager Jurgen Klopp as the Reds maintain their push for the Premier League title, plus the Champions League and FA Cup. April is a busy month and the more fully-fit players he has available for upcoming fixtures the better.
