Diogo Jota has picked up the Premier League Player of the Month award, after scoring three and assisting two goals in Liverpool’s three games in January.
“It was a great month for me, for the team and I’m just happy to win this award for the first time.” said the Portuguese forward. “It’s always nice.
“The team won – that was most important – but I did a big contribution and I was very happy because I came from [an] injury, so that was special for me to get it done straight away.
“Things are clicking and you need to take full advantage of that because we all know how it works – sometimes you can’t stop scoring and sometimes it seems like you can’t score.
“I just want to take the most out of these moments that I’m having and help the team.”
