Jones delighted with FA Cup victory over Norwich

Curtis Jones was happy with his performance in Liverpool’s FA Cup fourth round victory over Norwich at Anfield on Sunday afternoon, scoring and providing an assist in the 5-2 display.

“It was a perfect game you know, there was there was loads of goals scored and we came off with a team we didn’t have any injuries as well,” he said after thw final whistle. “And so yeah, we’re into into the next round. So it’s a good night overall.

When asked about how the players have responded to Jurgen Klopp’s decision to quit at the end of the season, he added: “We have our goals that we’ve set and stuff so nothing has changed.

“Of course, it’s sad for him, for the whole club, but you know, he’s a man. That’s a choice. So we respect that and, and we’ll just go with the flow.

“I’ve been around the first team now for a long time and I definitely say that this is the point that I’m at now to where I’m playing all the games and I’m consistent as well. So yeah, I’m happy, the team’s happy. So happy days all around.

“As I said at the beginning of the season, we had our goals, and then the news is out now aswell. So yeah, we’ll be giving it more, definitely.”
