Haaland rumours hot up

Liverpool have been one of the numerous clubs linked with Erling Haaland for a while, but Man Utd and Chelsea have been sniffing around in recent weeks, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer favourite to sign the Borussua Dortmund forward, while the Reds appear to be reluctant to spend big this summer.

However, all that may have changed. On Tuesday it was announced that LeBron James has become a partner in Liverpool’s owners, FSG. It is being reported that the deal may release much-needed investment in Jurgen Klopp‘s transfer kitty.

Haaland currently has no release clause on his Dortmund contract, but one will become active in June 2022, which will enable clubs to sign him for just £64m.

To avoid selling him on the cheap it is believed that the Bundesligas club are keen to offload the Norwegian international for a whopping £150m this summer. With the LeBron cash injection, maybe Liverpool can now compete for the player.
