Grujic set for Serie A switch

Marko Grujic’s five-year stay at Liverpool may be finally coming to an end.

The Serbian midfielder has spent much of that time out on loan, initially back at his former club Red Star Belgrade, then a stint at Cardiff City, a couple of seasons at Hertha Berlin then Porto last season.

The usually-reliable Fabrizio Romano claims that Grujic could be on his way to Sassuolo on a permanent move, despite Porto wanting to hold onto the player.

It is clear that Grujic doesn’t figure in Jurgen Klopp‘s plans so a permanent move would free up funds that could be used elsewhere as a replacement for Gini Wijnaldum looks to be the priority ahead of the new season.
