Goalkeeper changes in the summer?

Liverpool are preparing for a busy summer, with Caoimhin Kelleher in demand following his spell between the posts during Alisson Becker’s recent injury.

Nottingham Forest tried to sign the Norther Ireland international in January but, fortunately for Jurgen Klopp, Liverpool rejected approaches.

However, after an impressive stint in the first team, Kelleher’s value will have increased and the player is likely to be wanting more regular first team football – something that the Reds won’t be able to guarantee.

Forest are hoping they can avoid relegation and, if they do, Kelleher may well be on their shopping list once again.

Possible replacements, if Kelleher is allowed to leave, could be Sunderland’s Anthony Patterson or Wigan’s Sam Tickle.

We expect this story to develop between now and June.
