Gerrard set to swoop for two more Liverpool players

Having already signed Jordan Henderson last summer, Al Ettifaq manager Steven Gerrard now has two more Reds in his sights this summer.

Joel Matip and Thiago Alcantara are both out of contract at the end of the season and both likely to leave Anfield.

Gerrard is keen to strengthen his squad, with the club underperforming in the Saudi Pro League.

The former Liverpool skipper is also hoping to sign Ryan Kent, who he took from Liverpool to Rangers during his time at Ibrox. The 27-year-old winger is now plying his trade with Turkish club Fenerbahche.

Henderson, meanwhile, appears ready to return to the Premier League, although a move back to Liverpool is not on the cards.
