Liverpool Football Club have announced that the new Anfield Road stand upper tier will be partially open for the Man Utd game on 17th December, pending safety test approvals.
This is earlier than previously expected, following Buckingham Group going into administration in September.
The club will hold a public test event in which they host 3,000 people prior to the stand being signed off by Liverpool City Council, then ticket sales information will be announced.
Once the development is complete the new stand will increase the Anfield capacity to 61,000 on a matchday.
