According to reports, Joel Matip and Nat Phillips are set to leave the club at the end of the season.
There have been growing rumours about Matip’s departure in recent days, with the Cameroon defender’s current contract due for renewal soon, but it appears that both he and Phillips could be offloaded.
According to Football Insider, the club are ‘planning to let Matip as well as fellow centre-back Nat Phillips go this summer and they will be made available to suitors. That will mean the Merseysiders are in the market for at least one senior centre-back as they prepare for what could be a substantial summer overhaul.’
